The Mission 212 Foundation has been honored to support the family of Charlie, Mindy, and their two sons, Landon and Grayson, during a challenging journey. Charlie, a devoted father and husband, was diagnosed with stage 3 oropharyngeal cancer and passed away in September 2024. Throughout his battle, our foundation provided critical resources and support, including referrals to partner organizations like the Stephanie Vest Foundation and Susana Smiles Foundation to address additional financial needs and help with the loss of income. Mindy has found encouragement and empathy from Mission 212 board member Kati, who has also experienced the loss of a husband to cancer, as we provided resources on navigating life as a widow and beyond. Landon, an active high school wrestler, has benefitted from tuition assistance to remain at the private school he loves, St. Michael’s, while Grayson continues to thrive in grade school. Additional needs for the family were providing chef-prepared meals, personal training for Landon, and a more comfortable couch for Charlie, to help ease the family’s daily burdens. Mission 212 remains committed to walking alongside this resilient family and ensuring their needs are met.
